DIRECTIONS
The postcode for car parking is M45 7QJ. If your sat nav is cheap and rubbish and gets confused you need to leave the M60 at junction 17 and head north up the A56. After about half a mile take the fork to the left past McDonalds. It should be able to guide you in from there. If you don’t have a sat nav and are going to use maps and common sense you will be OK.

VERY LIMITED PARKING IS AVAILBLE. PLEASE CAR SHARE, OR EVEN BETTER (IF YOU LIVE WITHIN A REASONABLE DISTANCE), DON’T BRING A CAR AT ALL.

Bury Council have dumped 40 tons of sand in our (their) car park. I have no idea why they have done this so I will be shouting at them.
But anyway, please don’t shout at me or our marshals if you get there and there are no parking spaces left.
As usual cars and vans will be packed in tight and cars will not be allowed out of the car park until after the main race has finished and the course is clear of riders.
The course goes through the car park again this year so if you need to get away on time please park somewhere else.

On arrival please follow the road down through the park to the competitor’s car park, unless one of the marshals tells you the car park is full.

SIGN-ON
After parking please sign in at the Team JMC tent on the main start/finish field. Those of you that have done HtN before – the sign-on and start isn’t where it normally is. Bury Council won’t let us use that bit. Ask a marshal if you get lost.

BUTTIES
Hot food and drinks will be available for the duration of the event.

LOOS
The usual toilets aren’t available this time (guess why?) so I’ve hired a couple of portable ones. Probably best to do your number 2’s before you leave the house.

GETTING SPANNERED
First aid control will be at the start finish area. First aiders and a support vehicle will be out on the course.

WELL DUH!
Make sure that your bike is in good working order. Helmets must be worn at all times when on the course.
Bike changes are allowed and bottle handups are allowed wherever you want as long as you’re not causing an obstruction. Probably best doing that sort of stuff at the start/finish really.Expect it to be cold, wet and muddy, so dress accordingly.

Cheers.
